A few years ago, I was asked to test Paris hotels. The idea was simple: hotels would give me a room, which I had to review through a fairly detailed questionnaire. It was while testing the hôtel du Jeu de Paume, on the île Saint Louis in Paris, that I took the opportunity to shoot Rouge. The hotel was fun because the rooms were arranged around a large open space which, in the past, had actually been a jeu de paume court. But to be honest, you can't really see that in the photos!
